State

Track where issues are in your workflow with states.

State represents where an issue is in your team's workflow. Prodedify organizes states into groups that reflect common workflow patterns.

State groups

Backlog

Work that hasn't been scheduled yet. Issues here are captured but not committed to a timeline.

Unstarted

Scheduled but not yet in progress. These issues are planned for work but no one has started on them.

Started

Actively being worked on. This group typically contains states like "In Progress", "In Review", or "In QA".

Completed

Finished work. Issues move here when they're done and verified.

Cancelled

Work that was abandoned. Keeps a record without cluttering active views.

Custom states

Adding states

Each project can define its own states within the standard groups. For example, add "In Review" and "In QA" under the Started group.

Configuration

Go to Project Settings → Statuses to create, edit, or reorder states. Set colors, ordering, and which state is the default for new issues.

State transitions

Changing state

Change an issue's state from the issue detail panel, inline in list views, or by dragging issues between columns on a board view.

Board columns

On board view, each column represents a state. Drag issues between columns to transition them.
