Core concepts
Understand the key building blocks behind Prodedify.
Prodedify is built around a few core concepts that work together to help your team plan, track, and ship work.
Workspaces
A workspace is the top-level container for your team. It holds all your projects, members, views, and settings.
Organizations and workspaces
An organization is the billing entity. Each organization can have one or more workspaces. Most teams use a single workspace, but larger companies may use multiple workspaces for different departments.
Workspace-level features
Some features operate across all projects in a workspace — views, analytics, cycles overview, and archives.
Projects
Projects group related work together. Each project has its own issues, cycles, views, and configuration.
What is a project?
Think of a project as a product, service, or initiative your team is working on. For example: "Mobile App", "API Platform", or "Q2 Launch".
Project identifiers
Each project gets a short identifier (like PRD or MOB) that prefixes all issue IDs within that project, making issues easy to reference (e.g. PRD-42).
Issues
Issues are the fundamental unit of work. They represent anything your team needs to track.
Issue types
Issues can represent different kinds of work — bugs, features, tasks, improvements, or ideas. Use labels and types to categorize them.
Issue properties
Every issue has a rich set of properties: state, priority, assignee, labels, cycle, dates, estimates, and more. See Issue properties for the full reference.
Cycles
Cycles are time-boxed iterations that help your team plan and execute work in a predictable cadence.
How cycles work
Create a cycle with a start and end date, then assign issues to it. Track progress with burndowns, progress rings, and capacity views. At the end of the cycle, review what was completed and carry over unfinished work.
Views
Views are saved perspectives on your issues.
Custom views
Apply filters, group by properties, and sort — then save the configuration as a reusable view. Views can be project-specific or workspace-wide, and private or shared.
Kiln AI
Kiln is Prodedify's integrated AI agent that helps product teams work faster.
What Kiln does
Kiln can help triage your backlog, evaluate issue quality, create and update issues, build features in a sandboxed environment, and execute tasks — all through natural conversation.
How Kiln learns
The AI understands your project context, tracks your team's approval patterns, and learns from outcomes to make better suggestions over time.
Teams
Teams let you organize workspace members into functional groups.
Why use teams
Assign team members to projects, track workload across people, and understand who is responsible for what. Teams map to how your organization is structured — product, design, engineering, etc.
